Cheers!

Here's Grandad celebrating his 91st Birthday last weekend. We had a patio party and I think there were about 28 guests altogether. It was great to catch up with the family. He's not looking bad for 91 eh! He's got his digital camera around his neck at the ready.

Here's a pic of my not-so-little brother (now taller than me) who provided music entertainment accompanied by one of his friends. A fab time was had by all!

Mog shots

Our little Pippy cat has become increasingly miffed at the amount of pictures that are taken of the grey beastie and the lack of photographic attention she seems to get these days, so here are some pictures taken last night. We thought we'd put them on our blog as she doesn't have her own (but in all honesty, what would we put on it?? Apart from this sudden burst of sitting activity all she does is sleep!)

Photos from our wedding (20th August 2005)

We got married in St Mylor Church in August this year and our reception was held at the Penmorvah Manor Hotel in Budock, nr Falmouth in Cornwall. It was the most fantastic day - and exceeded all our expectations! It would be fair to say that the service was certainly...err.."memorable", since the vicar forgot to wear his glasses and fluffed his way through the entire wedding ceremony (!) All in all though it went well and the reception was wonderful. The band we chose were awesome and kept us all dancing into the night. Definitely a day we shall always treasure.

Here's me and my grandad walking into the church.

Just married!

This is the view of the sea from the gardens at our reception venue.

This was one of our poses for the professional photographs. I felt like a complete numpty sat on that swing!!

Our first dance.

Photos from our honeymoon in Kenya

This definitely was the holiday of a lifetime! We spent the first week of our holiday on safari during which time we visited four different game reserves. For the second week we flew to the coast to chill out on the beach in Mombasa - bliss! Just what we needed after the gruelling schedule of the safari and the early morning game drives! Here are some pictures from our travels.

Here's James feeding Laura the Rothschild giraffe at the AFEW (African Foundation for Endangered Wildlife) Giraffe Centre in Nairobi.

This is a female bushbuck posing beautifully for the camera! The photo was taken at the Ark - a lodge situated in the highlands near the Abadares, our first port of call.

One of many stunning sunsets over the Samburu reserve

We love big cats and desperately wanted to see a leopard during our safari. We knew how elusive they are and that it was fairly unlikely we'd see one, so we were VERY excited when our driver discovered this young chap. He even drove out of the Samburu reserve and into Buffalo Springs to find him!

Not your average honeymoon photo! This is James and I with Morani the black rhino. He was orphaned as a baby and brought to the Sweetwaters reserve where he has lived ever since.

Another one of our favourite shots. Again, as with the leopard, we were very lucky to see this cheetah as there hadn't been many sightings in the days leading up to our arrival in the Mara.

The beautiful Mara landscape. This reserve was absolutely breath-taking (and blummin' cold first thing in the morning)!!

More rhinos but wild ones this time! Apparently white rhinos are more placid than the black variety...so much so that we were allowed to get out of the 4x4 to see them.

The second week of our honeymoon was spent here, at the Indian Ocean Beach Club resort in Mombasa. This is the view from the bar/restaurant where we had lunch each day.
